About
Susie’s rich and multifaceted body of work weaves together her love of painting, a passion for social justice, a fascination with travel, and a career as a teacher.
A self-taught artist, Susie began to sell her works and exhibit when she was in her 50’s.
Painting on her days off in a beautiful stable repurposed as a studio in Kangaroo Ground on the outskirts of Melbourne, she fell in love with the gum trees and Australian Modernism and, at the same time, began to find her artistic voice.
Since then, she has received numerous community art grants, been a finalist in several national competitions, held solo exhibitions, and developed a unique art teaching syllabus: Exploring Your Inner Artist.
